What to do with my stuff?
I'm carrying too much stuff. I need some place to put it. Can I put it on the floor of some house or is there a bank or something I can use?

Buy a cheap house (spoiler)
Sounds like you don't own a house yet. For 2000 gold you can buy the Imperial City Waterfront District shack. Go to the government office in the Marketplace District and talk to the lady. She will set you up. Once you own the shack you can dump all your excess stuff on the floor until you can afford a house upgrade. Go to the merchant that your journal tells you to (you get a quest arrow if you make this your active quest) and buy either the storage upgrade (gives you three chests/cabinets to store and organize your stuff) or the kitchen upgrade which gives you one cabinet and some useless crap. This house is a dump but if you're into interior decorating or just have excess money to waste you can fix it up with the other upgrades. This is my favorite house due to its location and its simplicity. It's a one room shanty with a bed, fireplace and storeage - everything an adventurer would need. Everything else is eye-candy. This is the only house you can get that you can sneak into when on the lam. It's also right next door to a high ranking member of the Thieves Guild who can get rid of your bounties for half price (if you're a member). Comes in very handy.

do you have the shadowmare? if so kill it and put stuff in it and it will come back to life and to get your stuff just kill it again and get it back out.

This has all been covered before in the forums, and the site owner doesn't like duplcate threads. (He says they slow things down.) Please do a search on houses.
