Bad Medicine quest*spoiler*

umm iv joined the dark brotherhood and im up to the bad medicine quest ( u have to kill some sick dude by changing his medicine with poisen..iv gone in completly undetected and i removed his medicen from the cabenet and replaced it with the poisen......i did not get a quest update for some reason.....i went back to hand in the quest and it was as if i hadnt completed it yet...didnt get a reward..he just told me to finsh the quest......i reloaded .....alsept for days..still no update...relaoded...waiting for 30 min real life time and still no update ( someone didnt go the to coaboard to give him the medicine) ...is it a bug...or is it just something really simple and stupid i havnt done..???? anyhelp would be apreciated, as this is the first thing that hasnt made any sense in the game so far.....if it is a bug...could someone also tell me wot the special iteam is for that quest so i know wot im missing out on..much apreciate it...

I don't do DB Guild, so I had to read up on this quest.

The only thing I can think of, having read it, is: WERE YOU SEEN? Because if so, the Quest fails and you have to kill the guy yourself rather than poisoning him.
Problem with that is you get no bonus. If he is poisoned, you get the bonus.

If you were seen, then retry it if possible. (Spoiler) The bonus is a set of clothes called the deceiver's finery which will help you alot in the next DB mission and any other mission that requiers you to "Dress to Impress" like the daedric quest Sanguine.

i have 50 sneak, and 20% chamelion ring..so i can get in and out of there without being detected pritty easy ( even tho im a fighter )..so its not that iv been seen...ack its really annoying ....the bonus sounds really good....

IMO the bonus is one of the worst yoi get for the DB i have never used it and just bribe people to like me
