Wow, that's great! I had no idea I could get in with just a 56K Modem! Lemme just take it out of the computer, and then I'll put it... :p

I know, ROFL! :D
And don't forget, you won't be able to make or receive phonecalls when you need to download course materials :p

My SO showed this to me and then started doing geeky accountant impersonations.. I was practically on the floor I was laughing so hard... he should have went into standup comedy.

Well, might not be a very good computer, I'd still rather play a whack 2d game on it, than to become an accountant.

Hard to believe we used to manage with those kind of machines  Things don't seem a lot faster, probably because each edition of Windows is chunkier

· Firewall (if you are connected to a high speed “always-on” connection such as a cable modem or ADSL line)
Does this mean that all the accountants with 56K modems just leave their PCs unprotected when online?

56k modems cant be invaded because of the low speed, specially with 75 mhz processing capabilities :p The virus overload the system :D

The size issue reminds me of something....

Some years ago I was a TA (teaching assistant) while working on the coursework component of my MA.

There were a whole group of us working for the same prof and we had to sit in at his lectures to the first year class, since we would be dealing with the material in the seminars we led.

Well... there was one fellow who was irritating in the extreme... and, I suspected, rather insecure about certain aspects of himself..

One fine day the prof decided to play a song, accompanied by lyrics on the overhead, by a band called The Arrogant Worms. The gist of the song is that the really great thing about Canada is that the country is really big :D
At that point I leaned over to my fellow TA and said...
"Psssst, see, size really does count!"

The poor guy....even though, because of the overhead projector being on, the lights were out in the lecture theatre... he visibly went about five shades of red.... :p

Erm...yes I know.. it wasn't very nice of me... :o :D

On the contrary; if you saved the group from further irritation by the small-dicked menace, you did a very nice thing. :p

Hmmm... the end justifies the means if it positively influences the greater good...
How very utilitarian of you!

I hadn't thought of it in quite that way. Thank you, you have just lifted my burden...years of terrible, mortifying guilt.... :D

Oh, I'm sorry, you wanted to punish yourself. I should have seen it earlier. Yes, what you did was very bad. He probably cried, because it was true. He probably has difficulty with women now because he fears all women will judge him on his size, as you did. He needs to be see a shrink to get therapy because of his irrational fear of women. He has a drinking problem, because he goes out trying to pick up women, but has to drink to raise his confidence. But then he drunkenly flirts with a woman, who rejects him, further justifying his self-loathing, and this causes him to drink even more.

How's that, to start with?

Well... I'm actually not...not technically anyway.
Though, my mother, I found out near the end of her life, had a great deal of Jewish blood.

But, lmao at your guilt comment !
