Monsters in Fable 2

Post by mr_sir »

Which new or old monsters would people like to see in Fable 2? In other threads, several members have mentioned that they would like to have Krakens and dragons in the game. Does anyone have any views or opinions on these? Or is there a particular monsters (it does not have to be in the original Fable or TLC) that you would love to have in the game? Any monsters you would love to see return?

Monsters, erm, I'm not that good in this particular field. Can't think of new ones to begin with but as for the returning monsters, I would like to see hobbes make a return in Fable 2. The other monsters I would like to see are balverines, trolls and the undead. :)

I definately want the hobbes to return. I find them hilarious :) I'd also like to see the balverines return, but maybe altered a bit so that they have more immunities to certain damage types. I'd like to see it so they can only be killed by silver augmentations or silver bullets. They could be damaged by other weapons but not killed.

As for dragons, I would like one or two dragons but not too many. The same goes for Krakens.

I would also like to see giants and ogres as this would make more of a variation as I got bored of only really having trolls as the big monsters.

Maybe they could add a bit more variety to the undead, like have undead animals/creatures, skeletons, zombies and undead mages etc. The crypt/graveyard part of Fable got a bit repetitive with all the same undead all the time.

I would like to see an undead dragon for a boss that just sounds cool.

Yeah. Agreed. It would be a major headache if you fight many of them.

That would be a good idea. Maybe having smaller undead dragons as regular enemies might sound good but the big one should be a boss. :)

Monsters to return

1. Hobbes ( They are hilarious )
2. Pixis
3. Undead's
4. Balverines

Monsters to be new ingame.

1. Gnomes (MayB they should build a city for it )
2. Sabers ( like Black panters )
3. Undead's ( MayB some undead pirates like: Pirates of the carrabian )
4. Dragon (also not to much )
5. Some crazy tauros ( U know the Big Bull.. the Greek myth as an ending Enemy on some quest, for exsample the new arena )

I would like monsters to act wild and make unexpecting move's. Like in TLC u hit a balvarine 4 times he jumps away... Change the matrix a bit and make every monster ingame make diffrent move's, rondemly
Also fit the monsters into the 500 in the future picture... No Rock trolls or Earth trolls Please... It does not fit in my picture anymore..
Or what would B awsome to have a spell that will make u resurect some crazy monster From Avo/Skorm to accompanie u one ur fight and disapears afterwards

Yes. I agree here. Having a scripted pattern in an enemy does give away the challenge since you'll know its attack pattern sooner or later and it will always remain the same. I also agree with randomising their attack method as it will provide more of a challenge when fighting them.

Wow. No offense but that is a really ugly monster there. And a fierce one too. I agree with you that it is suitable for a boss. Just what is the name of that monster?

P.S. Oh, Happy Birthday, DarkOmen14. :)

It would be good if they could include something similar to the illithids but I doubt they will as they are from the BG games/NWN etc. Still, you never know and they could include something like that :)

Sorry. Never heard of Illithids as I've never touched Baldur's Gate before (my friend has, though). What are they and what do they look like?

Honestly, I could care less. I think that as unique Fable was, it's now adapting to everything else. I like Fable because it was different and now we're discussing Undead like the Pirates of the Carribean? Those movies sucked! If Lionhead studio honestly wants to get money out of Fable 2 they're definitely heading down the path that every other sell out-Game company went down, and adding their Original art into the Genepool of a boring gaming society.

Sorry. Didn't notice that it was the monster in that picture. To be honest, that monster doesn't suit Fable's setting. Looks a bit like an alien from outer space or something. The first one look very suitable, though.
