I need to take a break from cRPGs for a while, and want to actually "role-play." I don't have the time to play a P&P game, but would love an AD&D game in either PBP or PBEM format.
If anybody can recommend a site where I can get started, I'd really appreciate it.
TIA
PBEM or PBP RPGs: can anybody recommend a site?

@Klorox: As you can see there aren't a lot of people here who play PBEM. If you ask this board what good FPS's, Sports Games and Flight Simulators there are you will get the answer: "Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate and maybe KOTOR"
Unfortunately I don't play PBEM myself, So I can't help you.

Klorox have asked if anybody knew a site for pen and paper style roleplaying game by e-mail or via a forum.
Not suggestions to games he could play.
@dj_venom:
cRPG = computer Roleplaying Game.
P&P = Pen And Paper (roleplaying game)
PBE = Play By E-mail. Consist of sending e-mails with one "moves")
PBP = Play By Post. Playing via a forum.
Now, back on topic. Unfortunally I don't know of any site @Klorox. All the PBP I've done have been here at GameBanshee where we were a couple who more wrote a story then actually played a story.

Well there's the Hall of Levistus and Rich Berlew's Giant in the Playground site (also home to the webcomic The Order of the Stick)... I'll send you links via PM that you can check out, because I don't know if I can post them here: some rule or something.

There's not many sites who do that anymore. I was going to recommend one or two older sites out there, but recently checked and they had melded onto another board.
We've got a member RPG here, but it's not terribly active, since few members actually know how to play P&P. I'd follow the second one that Tony mentioned if you really wanted to get into it, since it's a board for a D&D based comic strip.
@ Dottie: I take it this happens after Baldur's Gate? Cognitive dissonance?
