Balen Andranos bone and slaves *SPOILERS*

Post by Swix »

First off, hello I'm new here ;) , although I've had Morrowind (The Game of the Year Xbox edition) for a short while now and have had Baldurs Gate 2 for years.

I have two questions since they've been bugging me for weeks

The first question is about the Redoran Trader Balen Andranos sub-quest in Vivec, to put the dwarf bone in Jeannes room without being seen.

I have the bone, and I've managed to pick the lock successfully without the guard noticing me, but as soon as I open the door Jeanne sees me and that's that.

Am I missing something? Should I use the Potion of Exclusive Invisibilty I've been saving?

The second is about Caldera, or rather, the Calderan Ebony Mine slaves. I've freed the two Khajiit in the huts, and all the ones I can find in the mine. But the piece of paper at the top of the guard tower where the key is mentions an Argonian slave called Gold-Heart, and I haven't yet come across him.
If money is the root of all evil, what does that make us for inventing it?

I'm nice in RL and nasty in RPG's, it's yin and yang all in one

1. never done that quest, but as soon as you open/attack/do anything except move with invisibility your visible again. chameleon is what i would suggest for that.
2. i dont remember that piece of paper. i think i remember gold-heart tho. hard to explain where he is without a map... and without knowledge of exactly where he is. just walk around inside the mines. for me it said something about shutting down the place when i freed a khajiit girl. what was that about?

edit: OOO i think i remember that paper now. its the one by the sword right?
When a few people die, it's a tragedy. When thousands do, it's a statistic.

Yeah I think so, top of the guard tower above the mines entrance.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try chameleon. Although I'm not sure why it wants to shut the mine down after you free the Khajiit in the huts, it said the same thing when I did it.

I just did that quest in my latest game an hour or so ago. If you wait a bit, she will walk around and when she is out of sight, open the door. I had to taunt and kill an NPC from the Morrowind Comes Alive mod before I could open the door as she was standing in front of it, but if you wait and stand as close to the wall as you can its possible to unlock and open the door without being seen by either Jeanne or the Ordinator that is there.
