Eh....doesn't that depend on if Oblivion really becomes the Game of the Year....as the year isn't over yet, nobody really knows. Besides, I loved the Morrowind Game of the Year Edition with all the Addons. If Bethesda releases a GOTY with their little extras included, I don't mind...

The more money they make, the more money they have for their future games.... :D

they need expansions, just because the game is so awsome, I could play for like 3 weeks straight and not get bored.

.... and the more money they can save by keep making sub-par games which sell very well :D

Now, Xan, surely you're not implying that software companies intentionally manufacture large amounts of mediocre products to generate profits?

TB - in a word: Definately.
I sincerely wish we could re-consider this plan from a perspective that involved pants.

No, of course not :D

Anyways, as I said - I'm all but sure that we'll see either a GOTY edition, or a Gold edition and a Platinum edition, so there'll be plenty editions for people to buy once more stuff gets released.
I'd also be flabbergasted if we dont' see at least one or two expansions :)

I saw a collector edition at the county fair yesterday...but I doubt that it was the equivalent to a GOTY.
