Are we supposed to just work out directions? Or is there help somewhere?
You get instructions to take X thing to the Y place which is south-east, and so on. It's a nightmare working out where N, S, E & W are!
I'm currently trying my best to walk to Fort Moonmoth and can't find the signs I need. I just have no idea if I'm heading in the right compass direction. I would have thought such a game included a compass, have I missed it?

The map doesn't rotate so the top of the map is always north. If in doubt I usually right click to get the inventory screen and switch the map to the whole of Vardenfell and have a look to see if I'm heading in the right direction. I also change the size of the windows so the map window is a little bigger, and you can also click on the map and move it around to look at other places.
Well, I agree that's worth contacting them. Having said that, keep in your mind that even if someone tells you "It's north from so-and-so" does not necessarily mean it really is north in this game. The writer/creater of the game has serious problem with directions.Tanita wrote:Well that makes total logical sense! Thanks, that helps.
A compass would have been nice. *note to self - contact programmers*

In addition, there are a couple of great maps available. There's the great "Morrowind Interactive Map" - although I'm not sure it's still downloadable; the site where I got it from is down.
There's also Hamster's MorromaP - Morrowind Online Map

I tend to agree Grizz. I'm happy roaming around, just not endlessly.Grizz wrote:The directions in game are quite generic indeed. I feel it adds to the playability of the game. Ive come across many areas to explore while out looking for the needle in the haystack. Most of the time between quests, duties..etc etc I just roam the land seeing what I can get into.
Although, I also thought that a good thief would have found a map and sweet-talked a few people to have a decent sense of where places/things/people are. Totally just roaming seemed something an outcast would do.
