Hi I'm new, and am proboly missing something obvious but how do I get up the steep incline in the Escort Viatrix Petilia quest

welcome to the forums. what type of quest is it? Core or side? also, did you check on the walkthrough?

New or not read the thread entitled.

thank you and sorry for not putting spoiler in the title, and I have read what the walkthrough had to say about is but I don't see how I can get up there with the NPC i'm suppost to escort

You don't have to climb up any mountains.

Just follow the signs to Ghostgate, which is in line with Ghostwall (not sure on name, foyada?). You'll see a big dome, a flat wall, and a big dome on the other side. In the middle, in the flat wall is a gate which is currently closed. Just infront of the building is a obelisk, with a button on it, so you press that and the first gate opens. Go in, and there's another obelisk that needs pressing to open the second gate. Then have a quick search for the shrine, it's nearby. :)
In memorian: Fiona; Ravager; Lestat; Phreddie; and all of those from the 1500 incident. Lest we forget.

If you do what dj_venom said, then you will come to a fork in the path. Take the right hand path to get to the shrine :)

Thank you for all your help, I figured out that I missed the fork and was thinking everyone was talking about the second fork till I did some back tracking, again thx
