Mankar's Missing!!! (spoiler)

I'm almost done with the main quest - OK, I have made it thru Mankar's Paradise, and the Forbidden Grotto. I've killed everybody between me and him, and his two offspring let me into his Temple . . . so I am standing before Mankar Camaran's throne, and HE ISN'T there!! I waited an hour, still no Mancar. But when Martin opened the Gate to Paradise for me, Mankar (or his avatar) was still standing there in Cloud Ruler Temple, glaring at us. Have I got some crazy glitch? Should I reload before entering Paradise and go try to kill Mankar in the Temple? Or is he just out to lunch and not back yet?

That Was Easy!!

I reloaded my game from last night and went back to Paradise. Still no Mankar. I killed his two kids several times and watched them respawn, but no Daddy. So I went to an earlier save right before I had gone to Cloud Ruler to be transported to Paradise. Sure enough, there was old Mankar standing in front of Martin's fireplace, where he has been for about the last third of the game. Without even talking to Martin, I hit Mankar with my Frostbiter Ebony Claymore and it was on. Without his kids to support him, it was a pretty easy fight . . . and when he died, the storyline skipped to the normal part - I never had to go to "Paradise" at all! Now off with Martin to finish the game! What fun!

PS Mankar's robe is cool! Can I wear it OVER my enchanted armor?

This game is grazy because all those robes!, robes are SUPPOSED to wear on the armor

but not in Oblivion....
