Fast Eddie not being very quick - slight spoiler

Post by Coot »

Part of the Telvanni quests is acquiring a Mouth, Fast Eddie(*). I gave him the Staff he wanted and he agreed to be my Mouth and to go to Sadrith Mora to hang out with the other Mouths.
After waiting several days and running errands Eddie is still in Balmora. Is that a bug? Did I forget to do something? My stronghold hasn't been built yet, maybe that has something to do with it?

* Fast Eddie, not Fat Eddie like the title says. Stoopid typo's.

Fixed typo. -Fable

Did you have him get the stuff while he was in S.M.? if so, it was probably just a glitch that it added him there and forgot to remove him in balmora. it's never happened to me though. try talking to him in balmora and say whatever it was that made him your mouth(i think its "recruit a mouth" or something like that) and it might make him disappear.

No, I meant that Eddie is not in Sadrith Mora at all. He's still in Balmora sucking Kwama eggs or something  I first thought I had to be patient and wait a bit but it's been almost four days.

I remember reading somewhere that he takes his time. I would go about other quests, and check in on him in about a week.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

He always appears straight away for me. Have you been to the council house?

Yes, I went there several times. =shrug= Guess I'll wait a bit longer. I'm a member of a few guilds, they'll keep me busy.
Fable: thank you for correcting a rather embarrassing typo :o ;)

I've been looking at the scripts but I can't work it out. I'll ask Chu.

answer

Same thing happened to me and as there's no answer thought I'd add it.

Eddie won't move from Balmora until you report back to Master Aryon that you've got yourself a Mouth.

Hope that helps someone. :)

No, that didn't do anything for me. Eddie has probably found a nice girlfriend in Balmora 'cause he's not moving.
