the name of Fable 2

Post by triline beta »

I just got the october issue of OMX (offical xbox magazine) and it says th name of Fable 2 is....Fable Part Duex. Lionhead also has said that Fable Part Duex will be "A little bit more mature".
"Of humble birth, he entered the Emperor's service in the lowly status of courier. Dispatched to Balmora in the waning years of the Third Era, he arrived in Morrowind, ignorant of the role he was to play in that nation's history."

Hmm. Fable Part Duex. Sounds like an interesting name. About the part where Lionhead mentioned that it will be, 'A little bit more mature,' in what way will the game be more mature?

I think the name is kind of unorigional. As for the more mature part, I dont know, The article was only a paragraph or so long, I'll post the whole thing if you want.

I thought that the original Fable was already plentiful in adult content. What could possibly make it more mature? Contreversial topics? Obscene images? Renactments of the dark times in the history of humans?

It could probably be a name for Fable 2 at the moment. They (Lionhead) might change it later in the development stages (just like how they changed from Project Ego to Fable during its development). About the paragraph, don't need to post them if it ends there but thanks for the offer. :)

I don't think Lionhead will go that far but it remains to be seen as to what kind of content they would want to introduce into the game. The last option could be a more probable one as its not too controversial but its still too early to judge at the moment.

Maybe they mean serious in the sense of making it a lot less funny.
One ring to rule them all,one ring to find them, one ring to bring them all,and in the darkness bind them.

I hope so, the name is acurate, but entirely unorigional.

Perhaps. The last 2 fable games did contain a lot of levity, but wouldent that just make it more sereious? personaly I hpoe the combat is more realistic (i.e. It should take bodies longer than about a minute to disapear).

That, I'm not so sure. I'm also not sure how Lionhead will be able to pull it off but maybe they will reveal about it in due time. :)

P.S. Cool, 1,200 posts.

Often magazine issues are a month ahead, so October would be released at the end of August/beginning of September. This could be the case with this magazine, explaining why he/she has the October copy already.

instead of fable 2, or fable duex whatever, have it just Fable with something else at the end. for example, Fable 2 Legends, something to that effect, that would be better then just plain fable 2, although many games are just named with a 2 or 3 like halo.....

I don't mind if the title is just plain Fable 2. Sound pretty much okay to me, though having an additional sentence would be a nice touch. I know of certain games that have just the plain title and no additional words such as the Call of Duty series as an example.

I see your point, and I guess that would be fine.....I actually prefer it that way.
