Fallout 2 XP Installation

Post by wuweininja »

I see lots of problems for Fallout 2 in XP but usually they come after or during installation. Mine comes right when i hit the install button on the autorun menu. Everything stopes responding and when i ctrl-alt-del out of it a message comes up
"couldn't initialize input system try rebooting"
Anyone know whats up?
Thanks

Couple of questions/suggestions what may be wrong:
1) In what condition your cd is?
2) Have you similiar problem with any other game or programs?
3) As the error says, have you tried to rebooting?
4) Have you upgraded/degraded your mouse/keyboard/cd drivers lately? Have you tried to do such things to fix the problem?
5) If you are able to do it, maybe you should try to install it to other computer to see if it's computer or cd related.

To speak truth, I haven't ever heard this kind of problem. Hopefully either my suggestions help or there is someone else who can help you better...

Try reinstalling, when it comes to my problems like that, it fixes it 90% of the time
Equalization is good.
Payback isnt.
