Is it possible to solo an undead hunter without cheating (Importing items) and complete Shadows of Amn. Someone I know apparently got to the pirate island within 4-6 hours, he did use Yoshimo occasionaly. He's only ever completed the game once, cheating and with my help and he's around level 14.
Your opinion would be most welcome thanks

I played with my main character as an Undead Hunter, and found it a powerful class. The Level Drain immunity pretty much takes care of vampires being threats. Carsomyr really gives you an edge up when dealing with mages. I think it could be done, but I am not an expert on soloing, just my opinion.

Hadn't thought about that, but at the same time, he will get ALL the xp for himself(Or herself). Firkraag was a pain for me, but the black dragon was a pushover. maybe you can get to such a high level you can spank him. If not, there is always the way of cheese.

Vampires don't show up quite often. In fact, I know of only three signficant appearances they make in the game. Sure, everyone hates level drain, which is why people instictively say "Undead Hunter forever!", but what about the rest of them?

Yeah, but vampires aren't the only things that level drain, especially in ToB. Besides, there are a lot of undead creatures, and the Undead Hunter gets combat bonuses to them. And I think the immunity to hold is really helpful also.

I soloed with An undead hunter, and let me say I wish I had lay on hands. Fortunately, there are enough potions. The traps are a pain however.
I suggest taking proficiencis (sp) in two handed sword (obviously) and short bow, 2 handed wpn style and quarter staff. Why quarter staff, and short bow? Easy. Short bow Tuigan Bow, it makes all the battles easier and you can run. Quarter staff, IMO, is the second best two handed weapon because to many of them are good. And easy to get. I had Lilacor, staff of curing and tuigan as weapons during the first part of the game. In ToB is had carysomar, staff of the ram, and still tuigan, not enough can be said about that bow!!!
It is quite possible to get through the game solo, so much easier with ToB. Remember to get angel thing summon as a special ability, they really help later on.

The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.
