While Baldur's Gate II is, IMO, generally better than Placescape Torment, it lacks one thing, description.
In Baldur's Gate II, when the dialogue windows pops up, it's for just that, dialogue. You have to rely on the graphics for a visual, but of course the characters generally jst stand there.
In Planescape Torment there was a lot of description alongside the dialogue, what the characters were doing, what their stance was etc. I felt it made it all feel more intense, and is something that Bioware should look to include in future games.
