Ah! I see what you are getting at. Evidently HP knows how because the completely revealed map and all interiors are uncovered in their maps. Wonder why they never let anyone know how it's done! I did a complete walk-about on the map in version 1.4 and 1.5 without interacting with anything or anyone unless I could help it. Then I saved my characters at the starting position and started a new game.

The only thing one really truly needs the full map lifted up for is to find that darn wandering elf, Erlinmyer (the erlinmyer flask quest).
Otherwise, when using the Mystic Vision...your pc will probably slow down. I had to up my virtual memory to counter this.
I have started the game over with over a dozen different characters...and Erlinmyer is the only thing that I cannot find right away. (That kind of 'erks' me each and every time). Everything else is in a fixed location, iirc. I remember where most secret buttons are, where most special chests are, where the chests with crap in them are.
But, I really think Heuristic Park should have added the feature to lift the fog of war...as it does get a little old when you spend a lot of time replaying the game with fresh new characters. At least make so that when you finish the game once...you get some bonus features (ie ption to lift fog of war, get a moonstone to start the game with for NEW characters so as to have easier ways of getting around, be actually able to start a new game once a character has finished the game...but also get rid of the +3Attribute Pts quest bonus after finishing the game once for that character who finished the game, ect, ect, ect).

For some strange reason, I usually bump into Mog and his buddies everytime without frustruation. Probably because there are a lot of activitities (quests) to do in the "Forbidden Lands"...unlike the no-man's land west of Venturean Forest.Iceman1963 wrote:Mistic vision helps with finding Big Bad Mog if you choose to do that guest from the guy in Skuldoon. Strange. Both Mystic Vision and/or having a high leveled "Scout" skill slows my pc down. I ended up putting my old pc's memory card 500MB in my new pc's memory which was 500MB (now says 880MB physical ram)...and I upped my virtual memory to about 2000MB. Seems to have helped. I also disable several programs running in the background when playing DL. Oh well, I guess my problems are my problems...and everyone else seems to have everything in working order. Well, I like the game enough to keep playing it, so I guess even a nuisance like this isn't enough to stop me from playing it.Iceman1963 wrote:Also I have never noticed that vision slows down my game play at all just gives me an advanced warning of apporaching enemies.
