problem entering eastern part of world.
You don't receive the dark artifact, you have to pick it up after killing the monster.pawn 74 wrote:I'm triing to reenter fargrove so i can pass trough to eastern side of world but they wont let me in , as a matter of fact the gaurds attact me. how can i cross. When the guards attact you, you have to defeat them, then you can get through the gate. Then you have to go to the castle and defeat Okatta, release the king and all his men in the dungeon jail, then see the woman at the Inn, then exit the south gate so you can head east, south, and west to harrow ruins.
Just to let you know, they don't drop a moonstone every time you kill one, I went through three before I got one. Had so much fun killing the first three, I stuck around and killed some more, and leveled a few times, if your having probs killing them, just lead them back to the water, get in the water where they can't go, and pelt them with magic or ranged weapons, Happy Hunting
killing fargrove guards
but i did kill them and it wouldn't let me under the open metal bar gate it was up but my character would just hit it as if it were closed unfortunately i saved the game before coming on banshee or i would just try again. any ideas.
thank you

This is why I keep at least 5 save files open for each character I am playing.
When playing DL, I have managed to get dozens of doors permanantly stuck so as I could not enter or exit, and then had to revert to a saved file. I did this usually by standing to close to the door and the door would jam (permanantly). I can't remember if Fargrove gate was like this, but I know I've managed to jam more doors than what I'd like to. That's also why I save a lot.
I really don't know what else to say, unless it's some bug you stumbled upon.
My last option for you would be to enter some kind of building/dungeon, such as Castle Ulm...just to see if things reboot to their normal status...that is to say if you have no previous save files before your incident at the gates of Fargrove, you might try entering some building that gives you a loading screen to see if the problem might reset itself to normal.
If none of that works, stop banging your head against the wall, cool down, think about maybe starting a new character build, all the while leaving your old character on the backburner for now. No use crying over spilled milk.
But, in hope of you get your current character/game fixed, maybe you won't have to start over.
