Safe resting places
Are there any safe resting places in the lower parts of the temple. It's such a pain having to go back the the winding staircase to heal and rest. If not oh well, at least it gives me a chance to go back to town and sell the my bootie.

Some places are better than others, but I don't know of any that are completely safe. I always spawn a stack of teleport scrolls with the console. Saves me running around on the way out, at least.

(Use the lastest 1.3 build - it's still beta, but stable and far better than 1.2)

Well, they should be getting 2 into their spellbook each time they level up, but the AI when levelling isn't the best, and perhaps it's selecting lower-level spells. Not sure. But you can always add spells to their books by letting them copy scrolls. If you have to, you could use the console to give them scrolls to copy. This wouldn't be cheating if they're not getting spells they should get.
If you use Drifter's humble NPC patch, you can level the NPCs as if they were PCs, and thus control what spells they learn at level-up. It's pretty nice. See the sticky thread at the top of the forum.
