possible spoiler:plume of protection won't vanish
Hello to one and all. I am stuck.I have gotten all five of the stones in the statues and I can see the rod of divinity THROUGH the plume of protection but I can't grab the rod and no matter what I do I can't kill the dude! Am I missing something? Did I do something wrong? Or is my game screwed up? I sure hope it isn't the last one because the last save I made was a long time ago. You would have thought I learned my lesson by now! Thanks for any of the help.
Thank you for taking the time to respond, but I have put all five stones in the statues. They all have a ray shining out of them directed towards the plume, I can see the rod, but the plume is still there. I go over there[ while being attacked by a assorted enemies] ,hit the shift key and just get knocked away from the rod and the plume.
If you have a convenient save to go back to, I'd suggest starting over with the battle. Your problem sounds like a bug.

Nauselom regenorates after the fourth stone[ possible spoiler]
I seem to be having the same problem as poster "rath" I have dug through the forums and have come to a few conclusions. I sent in a post a few days ago and decided to just go back in my game. Which was a bimmer. But here I am , in the exact same spot , with the exact same problem. I get into the room with Nauselom. I kick his rear [ I am level 31] , no problem, pick up the stone, place in statue. Repeat 2nd time, repeat 3rd time repeat 4th time but on the last time he regenrates his health, summons minions quicker and I keep running oiver to the rod of divinity but the plume of protection is still there. I can not find a stone laying the ground and i do not have one in my inventory. I AM SO CONFUSED! Has anybody else came across this and then figured it out? I read some advice sent to "rath" but I didn't quite understand it. Thanks in advance for any help. Am I going to have to go back in my game AGAIN?

There should be five shadow stones. Once you've placed them in the five guardian statues, the plume of protection should disappear. Dungeon Lords has an assortment of odd bugs, but I can't tell if you're experiencing one, or if you're just missing something in the battle.
Since this is your second attempt on Nauselom, hopefully you saved your game this time just before reaching him, so you can easily try again. Maybe the third time will be the charm.

3rd time was a charm!!!
Well, third time was a charm. Thank you sw carter. I probably would not have tried three times. I am playing the C.E and thought most of this stuff was taken care of. That is really frustrating that a person should have to back up there game that many times. How are you suppose to know when to make a save? Every 30 seconds? Every 60 seconds? Every 1,231 seconds?I was going to send you a private thank you but thought better of it in the event some other poor soul out there comes across the same problem. The moral to the story is Try and Try again!.
Thanks alot.
