Hi! Stupid SOLO Question
Hi all
Like to ask if I can just use a Monk or a Fighter to Solo Baldur's Gate 2?
Is there any way to unlock chest and disarm traps using a Monk??
Thanks

Hi! Stupid Question
For "unlocking" chests, you can try to bash them but I do not know if all can be opened this way. (Bashing chests is strength based)halforc wrote:<snip>

As for disarming traps, then run over them and hope the effect isn't lethal.
Insert signature here.
Some traps can be disarmed by sending summoned creatures over them. There aren't many summoning items a Monk can use (or acquire without opening locks or pickpocketing), but the Black Spider Figurine comes to mind. I always play with more than one character and my party has a variety of skills, so I don't think about these things very much.Xandax wrote:As for disarming traps, then run over them and hope the effect isn't lethal.
For avoiding to have to trigger the traps you can install the "No Traps or Locks"-component from the BG2 Tweak Pack you can get at G3: Downloads
I'd also install the "Identify All Items" , unlimited stacks and the official "Bonus Merchants" components and download the BG2 Fixpack from there.

Is it "doable" to just use a monk or fighter to solo? or the solo character needs "thieving" skills
Are there any levels that requires the use of thieving skills to unlock chest to get keys in order to pass thru.
Thank you
Thank you
I've used a Paladin and managed to solo the game. You don't need all the stuff in every chest, the best things you get when you kill bad-guys or complete a quest.
