Paladins' Bane

Post by Maharlika »

It just suddenly dawned on me --- high level evil clerics can blast my low-mid-level paladin to smithereens just by using his TURNING abilities. Is this really possible in the game?

Hmmm... quite potentially harmful to the Order's (of the Radiant Heart) existence... imagine just a handful of these evil clerics at the frontline practically "erasing" these paladins with a simple turning ability --- what's left would just be the few high-level paladins probably going to get smothered like Derek Crownguard and Lord Alfred of the Knights of Solamnia...

Has anyone of you played an evil cleric (never did fancy trying it yet), reached a significant level such that you could easily turn/disintegrate Keldorn's comrades and actually erased these guys?

But what power level do you have to reach to blast them instead of just scaring them?

You don't need to be that powerful to explode really powerful foes with turning. In Sendai's Enclave I hit Anomen's turn undead and the lich exploded instantly. It seems to me that a lich is much more powerful than a paladin in the order.

I wonder if the turn paladin ability works on the Githyanki Anti-paladins. Probably not because they are evil...

I faintly remember reading somewhere that Paladins cannot be gibbed, only turned...
