Hey guys.. yes, VV's in trouble again.. I'm just awesome that way

Ok, heres the deal

Yesterday i had to re-install my game coz we formatted our comp. (: mad: lost our game and all). How aggressive

So i installed it and got past the tutorial and all, then quit it and chucked the -console at the end of the target part.

But now the shortcut is all assed and it wont let me into the game and stuff.. its very irritating

Is there something im doing wrong?

If your current shortcut is trashed, the simplest thing is to create a new one. Right-click on the shortcut (I'm assuming it's the one on your desktop), and delete it. Then click on the "Start" button, "Programs", "Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines", and you should see the icon and name for the program "Vampire the Masquerade - Bloodlines". DON"T CLICK ON IT! If you do that, it'll start the game, which is not a bad thing, but it's not what you're doing right now.

Hold your mouse over the game menu item, right click and hold down the right mouse button. Drag the menu item onto your desktop and drop it. It will ask you if you want to move or copy. Select copy.

Poof! New short-cut, functioning perfectly. Now head on in and eat somebody ;)

believe me, dear heart, when i say ive tried that

aswell as uninstalling, reinstalling trying it again, doing what u said 3 or 4 times

and repeating the process...

(Yes i have that much time on my hands.. what can i say?)

I think it might be what im typing .. i right click, go properties.. then in the target box, go to the end and make it say

blah blah blah exe" -console

is that right?

Im not sure whats happening but ts making me want to ram someones head with a barbeque fork

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines\vampire.exe" -console

is how it should look (or something similar).

Maybe you forgot the double quote mark in the beginning of the line?

Or maybe you're in the wrong place. On the "General" tab, there will be a text box containing this:

"Vampire - The Masquerade Bloodlines" (without the quotes).

That shoudn't be changed. On the shortcut tab, the "Target" text box should contain this:

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines\vampire.exe" -console

(with the quotation marks - copy and paste that whole line)

Below that, the "Start In" text box should contain:

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines\"

(with the quotation marks - copy and paste that whole line.

Unless, of course, you installed it in someplace other than the default location.

oh, ass

Hey guys

Just disregard this post

I just made it coz my console shortcut started not working again after i changed my skin to Pisha's, Velvets, Damsels and Mira's

I ended up going to every shortcut i could find, and i made the shortcut in the start menu work for me

So just ignore my ramblings..
