Well I have two poor computers connected together to help aleviate bordom and I must say I've had many a happy hour leveling in Diablo and fragging in Quake 3 but it's definitely reached a point where I need a new game to sink my teeth into.
I'm open to any game type that supports LAN multiplayer, but I'm thinking mostly of RPG ones if possible.
I'm considering Sacred but after reading what I have it seems multiplayer is a bad idea for that game.
ps: I don't mind old games.

Well, you could try Neverwinter Nights. That's the only RPG I know that has multiplayer. Never played that game before so I'm not sure whether it's LAN-worthy or not.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

You could always try, if you haven't already, the Baldur's Gate Series, Icewind Dale Series, Arcanum of Steamworks and Magick Obscura or maybe even Darkstone.
You might throw the last one at the wall though.

Fallout: Tactics would be also very good game, as it extremely good when multiplaying it...
Also, if you can find it somewhere, Incubation (sp?) was very good game. It's very old though, so you may have hard time to find it.
