I had the same problem for awhile. You don't need too many to go against Fathien. I guess maybe 20 - 50 healing 10 - 20 poison. Fathien guards drop potions of greater healing.

Save before entering ulm and then switch to a different save if you go in. That way if the fighting is too difficult you can level up on moon beasts for awhile and raise stats.

But maybe you need 20/10 potions or maybe you need the potions for the tribunal?

But back to your question. There is a elven trader in the gated area that was the entry to the elven realm. The ladder to the walkway where he lives is near the sign that shows the way to lake lohr, fargrove, and arrindale. (see walkthrough if this doesn't sound familiar). He sells potions and a ring +15 vs poison.

Oh, and if you get desperate for money kill moon beasts raise your bargain and honor quite high then go to celestial temple in arrindale. Sell and buy back your best item enough times to afford something more expensive (such as ice ward crystal) earn enough money to by even more ice ward crystals per pop. At that point its compound interest and you can make unlimited money fast. WARNING this might ruin the game for you if you cannot risk the temptation to buy a million charges of powerful spells.

Happy hunting

Note: I don't know if its different if the game version isn't the collector's edition..see walkthrough about elven trader for that information

sell one to the temple in arindale, then buy them back in bulk.
