I just started playing Fable:The Lost Chapters, and I want to do every single quest (at least in the beginning). Anyway, I got frustrated by that mini quest which some apprentice gives you: Beat his record of 50 secs to demon door and back. I can't do it for some reason;should I click TAB on demon door when I get to it or on the apprentice when I get to him? I know it's a stupid and easy quest but I already spent half an hour here so tell me am I just slow or not doing something right?
Btw, I was really enchanted by the Fable graphics, I think it's better than Oblivion's (stylish-pretty, not effect-pretty like Oblivion).

50 secs record
Know the universe by experiencing it fully.
You don't have to click on the door. In fact, I'm pretty sure you can turn around as soon as you've crossed the bridge to it. But you have to click on the student to end the race.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."
As what SWC had mentioned, you don't need to click on the Demon Door but I also recall that it has to be highlighted, then you can run all the way back to the apprentice to complete the quest. I once didn't run up till the demon door is highlighted and when I got back to that apprentice, he said I didn't reach the demon door at all.
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price
The trick is to not stop running (and not clicking the door as mentioned). If you time your run correct, you can turn some sharp corners and turn around on the little island after the bridge without loosing much speed. It is however a narrow run at best and you rarely will have more then a few seconds on the clock.

In an effort to see just how far an exploit could be pushed
Using the stick, I beat the bragging student all the way to the demon door. Did the race without taking a step after that. Granted, you'll have to see Maze several times in order to beat him this far. You'll also earn some might and evil points in the process. Each beating can back him up four steps.
