WathcerKeep's maze (not following the correct order)

Post by getsleepy »

I went thru the maze without following the correct order. I got my first scepter gem from the talking demon (the one who talks first then say it's better to kill me before I turn trouble). So I went thru the rest of the maze avoiding the dead magic zone. I met the gambling demon and got my seond scepter gem from him.

Here's my problem, I can't find the third gem!!! I went back to the maze (even the dead magic zones), but I still can't find the third gem. By the way, I cleared out the maze and killed every monster in it. Is it because I didn't follow the correct order so I can't get the third gem?

Thanks in advance.

If you're not following the correct order you may be missing an area. You have to kill both a Baatezu and a Tanar'ri to get the gems they're holding, as well as get the one from the gambling Cambion.
There's nothing a little poison couldn't cure...

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

Like I said in the first post, after I found out I missed one gem, I went back and cleared out the whole maze. Still I couldn't find the missing gem. That's why I'm asking if I didn't follow the correct order then the gem won't appear at all.

I didn't follow the correct order because I tried to avoid the dead magic zone.

Hmmmm....

This sounds like a problem I had with the 2nd level of Watcher's keep the first time I tried it. Since it was my first time, I didn't know (and I didn't see because of poor lighting) that the air elementals dropped a staff, and you HAD to pick it up to complete the level.

I do know that if DON'T pick up items immediately, they can dissappear on you after you rest.

I am wondering if this may have happened to you.

**SPOILERS**

In this level, you get one Gem from the leader of a bunch of Demons that talk to you, you get the second from the leader of a bunch of devils that talk to you, and finally you get the third from the gambling cambion. I am wondering if you somehow didn't pick up one of the gems off of the demon corpses before resting.

As it sounds right now, your options seem to be:

Reload

or

Forget about the rest of watcher's keep.

All just IMO of course.

You can CLUA in the missing scepter gem. The codes are: PLOT02c, PLOT02d, and PLOT02e. As soon as you CLUA in the right one, the game should automatically place the scepter in your inventory. Or you can simply CLUA in the scepter itself: PLOT02b.

I know I may sound like a dumba$$ asking this... But what is CLUA? Cheat code? I just type CLUA plus the code?

First, you must enable cheats by adding the following lines to your Baldur.ini file under [Program Options]:

Debug Mode=1
Cheats=1

Next, in your game bring up the game console by pressing <crtl><space>. Enter the following line to create items in your inventory:

CLUAConsole:CreateItem("itemx")

where itemx = the code for the item you're creating, ie: PLOT02b.
