Help needed in the Archives (spoiler)

Post by rythmik1 »

So, I walk into the Archive building to get info about Ammon Jerro so I can track him down. There are githyanki everywhere. Instant, sudden and immediate death to to them all. Then I talk to an Archivist who tells me I have to answer a bunch or questions written on four pedastals by a magical pen that can only be seen by wearing one of the special veils that the Archivists wear (somebody at Atari or Obsidian had way too much Jolt cola on this one). Anyway, he says that I have to get a veil from one of the dead Archivists. Problem is, I can't find one...veil OR dead Archivist. As I'm walking around I note that there are 4 secret doors. My second problem is that none of my NPC's can open it or even see it. I tried all of them especially Neeshka (10th lvl rouge) but she didn't even react to it. I even tried the gnome and Elenee (Spot is actually higher than Neeshka's) but neither of them even saw them. Suggestions? d

As soon as you enter the archives room with the 4 books, you can press Z and notice a dead man directly ahead of you off to the right. To better explain it, there will be a locked door directly in front of you. The dead man will be to the right of this door in the hallway, and should be fairly easy to spot if you press your Z key.

If you need clarification let me know

The secret doors are linked to the veil as well (or maybe you just need true seeing for everything in the library).

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."
