Looking for item code for any of the bags.

Post by Acleacius »

I hate inventory system which forces you to use NPCs as pack mules, yet limits you on how many you can bring.
So your forced to keep switching out items on NPCs when you switch them out. :p
I have looked through several of the 2da files in data folder but can't find them and not very experienced with the editor.
They don't seem to be listed in unique item 2da and I can't find a merchant (if one exist) 2da, since so far I have only seen them in Merchant inventories.

The Equiptment Data Base is very impressive and I imagine you guys haven't had time to get to the numbers, so I was hoping someone experienced with the Editor or files could point me in the right direction.
If you can only find the numbers in the editor I could probably figure it out with a few pointers.

Thanks for any tips. :)
Trust me, most of the names I have been called you can't translate in any language...they're not even real words as much as a succession of violent images.

Actually, the database provides the item ID code for each item I have looked for. Try this link, it should list off all of the container items in the game. Use the "resource name" to spawn it.

You can also get a magic bag fairly early in the game, from (spoiler)

There is one that can be bought from the innkeeper at the Weeping Willow Inn as well. First one in the game, around 700 gp and it's -20% weight reduction. Nothing special, but it's cheap, and it's useful to keep stuff like extra potions and healers kits. Things that are light, but cause clutter.

Thanks Magrus and swcarter.
I can't believe I missed that code, I guess trying to use 16 x 12 is having an effect on the fonts. ;)

Also thanks for the info on the 2 ingame bags but my problem comes just before we get our 3rd and 4th bag.
By that time I am keeping all the crafing books and most good magic items, weapons and potions since No way in hell I would lets those NPCs have potions to carry as they are as bad as Redemption and Blood usage. ;)

Not to mention that Obsidian was spose to give us storage in the Ebon Haw.....lagon, as even mentioned in the story. :)

Excellent work as usualy on the Database. :cheer:
