I know... I know...
go to an earlier save...
Ok, here's the problem, I didn't pick up the dark artifact after killing the Evil Mage on the Devil's Moon Quest.
After a while, (say 10 levels or so... ouch) I went back to find it... low and behold! it wasn't there...
Do the quest items disappear after a period of time like normal loot or should I continue to search until my characters legs are worn to nubs...
Be gentle...
Missing Quest Items...
I don't know about this specific quest item disappearing or not, I gather you have the Collectors Edition, I'm, on V1.4, but if you can't find it use the editor (see the sticky thread at the top of the page). Word of warning thougH, your level will be greatly reduced, possibly to level 1. Not that that is of major significance, what is significant is that you'll lose virtually all your advancement points, so use them up before making the save you're going to edit. Even worse, potentially, is that if you are on an advancement quest (i.e. from fighter to Samurai) using the editor will break the quest. So if you have a grey class symbol on your character sheet, DON'T USE THE EDITOR.
