Any Ideas for 6th Party Member multiplayer?

Post by Claudius »

I am making a party to finally do a total run through of SoA/ToB

Here's the makeup so far

1) Undead Hunter (Carsomyr + sometimes Halberds)

Role: Magic Resistant Tank, Undead Kill

2) Ranger/Cleric Multi (FoA, Crom Faeyr, Mace of Disruption)

Role: Tank, Divine Caster, Druid Anti Caster Spells, Anti Humanoid (early)

3) Fighter/Mage/Thief (various shortbows, various Longswords)

Role: locks/traps, situational tank, archer, back-up mage

4) Bard (Skald for early good song) (Dakkon Zerth, other caster melee weap)

Role: Song, Backup Spells (high caster level), pick pockets, lore

5) Sorceror (SoM, Robes Vecna, etc)

Role: Main Caster, Ranged attacker in between casting

First of All: What do you think of the party? I'm not envisioning perfection. Just looking for a fun run through both games. I want to try out as much of the game as possible; classes, HLA's, strategy. I've played before, yet I'm still not great and will never install all the hard things (ie I play vanilla game and like it that way :) )..

Second: Who could I add to this party to make it niftyer?

Third: Any other comments in general relative to starting a multiplayer game and not wanting to have to start over later for the millionth time!!!

Thanks for your advice (in advance),

claudius

Edit: I also thought of taking 1) Kheldorn 2) Jaheira or Anomen 3) Jan/Imoen 4) Haer Dalis 5) Sorceror PC 6) ???
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

5 party members are enough.
If you want a sixth one I'd try a monk or kensai or fighter9/druid.

Thanks K-monster

I decided to use the NPCs again... I've heard most of the banter and just click through it, but at the same time they seem to have more personality.

I started duo with PC Sorceror and Jaheira...

Once I really wanted a thief I picked up Jan...

The biggest problem I run into now is the 3 vampire attack at night. In town a PC sorc and Jan are not much support without their spells. I suppose I could stop being cheap and pay the 5000 to legally cast magic (but I kinda wanted to fight all the mages later). I do have 2 scrolls of Undead protection but may want to save them.

Other NPCs that I want (once I've leveled up high enough so I pick them up at high level....): Kheldorn, Valygar, Haer Dalis
