i am now certain that the harperquests in my game are in a loop of some sort, after going to the harperhold and killing the first bunch and going to chat with bernard nothing has happened 40-50 game days later(yes i rest in forest and all that)! this is driving me cookoo because i'm going the jaheira romance route and the infernal quest won't continue, can anyone give me an idea how to give it a swift kick to jumpstart it back onto the right quest? or is someone willing to check out one of my latest saves(does have some of my own custom items though) and see if they can figure out a way to fix this?

Check the "Jaheira Romance: Spoilers Galore" thread here for more comprehensive info, but a quick summary may help: Parts of the Jaheira Romance plot are event-triggered, some are game-time triggered (sleeping WILL help) and some are real-time triggered (sleeping WILL NOT help). If you have cheats enabled you can check how far along in the romance you are by typing:Originally posted by MistJaguar:

with your mouse pointer over Jaheira's prtrait. Mine sat at 27 for a long time until I let the game sit overnight and not paused... my advice is just be patient, it's the time and difficulty that make this the best plot in the game.

bought the locket did the curse, let it sit overnight(paused though) slept alot outside and in the forest, the problem is that nothing is happening with the quests themselves
i could understand the romance looping, but it is the quest itself that won't continue, what is the name of the first harper to spawn and talk to you in the quest after the killing in the hold part? maybe i can try to manually spawn it and see if that'll do it
p.s. thank you Vicsun
