Help me.

Post by Zimith »

How do i get the rope in the 'sea critter' area. I killed the prince so he can't give it to me, and the bloody king is gone. Do i have to reload and do it all again?

Dude, why kill the prince? Completing that quest for good only gives you a ton of XP. Of course if you're evil, then ignore that first part. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I digress.

Look around town then and see if you find the king. There's another rope in the treasury so if you can lockpick that then that should solve your troubles.

Hey, didn't know that. I did what i thought was the most clever. My PC likes intriguing and i liked the king better. Where is the treasurehoard? What door needs to be picked? The only door i can think of is the unpickable door at the king's place.

the treasury door is the one to the right of where the king normally stands. If you like intrigue then attack and kill the king and you get the key off his body. none of the sharkmen are tough so you can wipe out the city and not have your rep affected one way or the other.

a funny thing: I didn't kill anyone and ended up with 3 ropes...the stealthy one gets all the girls...(and the XP too)

you name it Image and with the char's development I watched the in-game's persons start stuffing things in MY pockets...at first I was really upset and tried to return the things for good, which I couldn't , but in course of time I stopped struggling and accepted my role...

I also obtained three different ropes, yet the same ones.

- One came from the dead body of the mad king.
- The Prince was so happy, he gave me another one (or was it a subtle hint for me to take a hike?? Image )
- With the two treasure keys they handed me, one from the dead king's body AND one from the Prince, I found a THIRD rope in the treasure hoard.

Relax! I think the essence of mine and Maurice' postings is: grab the loot from the dead king, there should be a treasure key which can be used in the throne-'room' (where the king lies) at the northern wall (there's a niche with the rope inside)
...good luck!

plenty of rope to go around I see... enough for many countries apparently. I guess it's the rope that brings us all together (sniff, sniff, tear of joy). BTW- why do you have to play it over again? Still can't find the king or something? If not, slaughter the town; what can it hurt and besides you might find something cool. Image

I did slaughter the king and looted him. And i did, in my desperate state, slay all the town, but no rope or key. Anyway, i have already played it right from the start now and i'm long gone in the Underdark, but thanks for all the tips. A nice christmas to you all.
