Sounds like a reinstall is necessary. Unless of course you're running a bunch of mods, and either they or their load order is causing conflicts.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

Well, the long sleep problem may be caused by the fact that you don't have any healing spells when going to sleep. While you are sleeping, the fast healing is done by casting the healing spells to your party. If you don't have any clerics or any other character who is able to cast healing spells or none of your healers has for some strange reasons any healing spells (those spells can be already used up, that doesn't matter), then the healing takes long time...

I remember it was done that way in BG2 too, but at least in IWD2. So, if it's wrong, please correct me.

Could be that. If I recall correctly, there's a a gameplay option that lets you turn on/off "sleep until healed." But 30 days is completely off the board. 30 hours, perhaps.

Yeah, maybe it should be more like 30 hours than days, but how does my memory tells me that there have been situations in BG2 where the NPCs claimed that "the actions should be done quickly", and yet after one sleeping (10 days or something like that) it was done quickly enough... and logically the quick would have meant hour or so...

But my memory can serve me wrongly today...
