HELP ME! Mind Flayer dungeon!(Spoiler)

I have done everything in the mind flayer dungeon except kill the big brain. I can't get thru the door! I can't make any more mind flayers appear, so I can't use the collars. When I transform into the slayer, I can open the door, but I get killed, no matter how many potions I drink or what spells my party casts on me. Any ideas?

First of all, there is a mind flayer respawning in one of the rooms to the right if you don't want to turn into the slayer.

Second to counter the confusion/stun and so on use the greenstone amulet, chaotic command or the brimstone potions. To counter the intelligence drain you need some characters with good AC and good int so potion of genius might help. And most important summon as many skeletons as possible (they are immune).

Top it all off with the usual stuff haste, bless, chant, improved inv and everything else you can think of.

There's a collar somewhere in the dungeon (don't remeber exactly where) that you can use to mind control a mind flayer. You can then use him to open the door.
