Pickpocketing Drizzt

Post by wise grimwald »

When Pickpocketting Drizzt, I was able to get one of his scimitars, but not Defender. It came up with "No valid items".However, on doing a search on Drizzt, I discovered that other people have been able to get Defender. Is this a patch/version issue? If anyone knows the answer, I would be most pleased to know the answer.

You must kill him for his chain mail and the defender. There are many ways to do this with parties of almost any level.
:) Once again time to give someone the boot to make room for Coran. LOL :)

You can't pickpocket items that are on somebody's head. And Drizzt's other scimitar is on his head. Really.

I like to think he's wielding it with his teeth.

On a serious note, I've only been able to pickpocket Frostbrand myself, never Twinkle. It's not a bug; it's a feature.

Thanks for your help. I knew about three ways of killing him, but was trying to avoid that. After asking "search" the right question, I have discovered that it is indeed a version thing. Apparently one version allows you to pickpocket everything, another just one sword, and yet another nothing at all. I suppose that I should be thenkful that I got one sword.
