1st level Feats question
1st level Feats question
I’ve noticed that there are some Feats that can is possible to take only at the first level, like Serpent Blood, Strong Soul and some others (I’m retranslating form a foreign version of NWN2). Considering that there is not a second chance for taking one of these feats, it is better to take one of them, or is a better to choose another “regular” feat, still accessible later in the game?
Well, that depends. There are some really strong 1st-level-only feats, but not every class benefits equally from them. Spellcasting Prodigy for example is a feat I'd never want to miss on any wizard/sorc/drui/whatever caster char. Basically when choosing your first level feat(s) you have to ask yourself, "Is there a feat among the 1st-level-onlys that I will miss later or that I'm really interested in?"
If so, then choose one of them. If not, just stick to the regular feats.

I'd say that for any character, you should find one of those feats and take it. Seriously.
*Spellcasting prodigy if you are going for a caster heavy based character.
*Luck of Heroes was changed to give you +1 to all saves AND your AC. That's two feats for the price of one. If you don't have a caster that feat is a feat you just can't bypass for a rogue or melee type build. Why not take it? It's like dodge, but not just for 1 person, everyone, and a cloak of resistance all in one.
*Rogues and Dex based fighters can make use of some of the other feats. Blooded and Thug are nice. Increasing your Initiative can be really handy in the game for someone who deals damage up front. Combining one of those feats and later, Improved Initiative can end up with you gaining a +6 to Initiative. With a Dex of 18, you just got yourself a roll of 11-30 on any initiative check. Chances are your character goes first almost all of the time. You may kill your targets before they get a chance to swing.

"You can do whatever you want to me."
"Oh, so I can crate you and hide you in the warehouse at the end of Raiders?"
"So funny, kiss me funny boy!" / *Sprays mace* " I know, I know, bad for the ozone"

I agree... luck of heroes is awesome - and spellcasting prod. is a must for spellcasters...
about other feats...
for a warrior/fighter-type I allways take power attack and the cleave (later on great cleave). Cleave is a free attack you get when you down an enemy and another is in reach... I believe this is one of the very very rare opportunities to get an extra attack that stacks with everything (including haste).
If you continue sticking to a fighter you should decide on a weapon for your focus & specialisation quite early... therefore, find yourselve a weapon you like and stick with it...
