Actually, you find this proof that Sunry did it in the Republic Embassy computers, there's nothing to be found about it in the Sith Embassy to my knowledge...

Hmmm. there is no actual holocron 'showing' sunry murder the gal. There is a recording of it in the republic database but it does not show you

Please remember to put a SPOILER tag in the title of a thread like this, just as the sticky thread at the top of the forum says. I'll do this one, but in the future, your threads may mysteriously vanish if they lack that tag. ;)

Fable has some of the most in-depth answers that you will find on this forum. ;)
You need to remember he is the mod for lots of these threads and tries to keep everything on-topic and organized..:mischief: do a search to find his posts and you'll see for yourself.

You don't become a GameBanshee moderator because you can answer a lot of gaming questions, but because you're level-headed, communicate well, know the product at least a bit, and are willing to enforce the site owner's rules. Of course, it doesn't hurt to know a title and be able to discuss it, but that's not really necessary. And if you want to know what I do, it involves posting, moving and removing posts, starting, closing and editing threads and thread titles, reading all posts in my forums, banning trolls and advertisers, giving infractions, pruning old sticky threads, and assisting newcomers. I'm most active in SYM, Morrowind, and BG2, simply because the first has a lot of non-gaming threads, and because the other two have tons of mods that keep things fresh.

And now, if we can return to the subject at hand... ;)

I never saw a Sith holocron, though there was mention in the game of one existing.

if you give the tape to the judges, they will declare him guilty, but bastilla thinks there has been no justice. I think you get DS for giving the tape.

As far as I know, you don't get any dark side or light side points no matter which way you go for this side quest. At least, I never did. I've always completed the trial before going to the Sith base, so I'm not sure if there's anything there that relates to the case, but it would make sense that only the Republic base would have the recording of the murder. I really kind of hate this side quest because no matter what you do, someone's unhappy about the results. It all seems like a lot of running around for nothing.

Me neither. No matter the outcome, you will not get any DS?LS points. The only time I got DS points was during the quest where (Spoilers, please highlight)
Spoiler
I used Force Persuade on one of the witnesses.
As for this quest, yeah, I also dislike this quest a lot too. No definite answers. It's like Sunry is both guilty and innocent at the same time. I proved him innocent and Jolee wasn't too sure about his innocence. If Sunry was proven guilty, another team member would say that justice has not been served. Just makes me wonder what's the point of this quest sometimes.

Word. Talk about beating you over the head with moral ambiguity. Although all the side quests were kind of like that, this one seemed like the sloppiest -- almost an afterthought. I guess that's why there are no DS or LS points awarded -- "proof" apparently doesn't mean guilt. I've got nothing but love for this game, but I wish Manaan hadn't been so tedious.

Tell me about it. Half of Manaan's quests have to do with going to court. I wish the Selkath would just let you take matters into your own hands when it comes to the Sith. And then there is the whole arrest thing. You can say, "You'll never take me alive!" but the game won't let you fight the law. You may be strong enough to take on the whole freakin city, but you can't do that all because the fish-cop brought along a few robots. You should be able to attack anybody you want (with consequences, of course). Morrowind dominates in that respect.

Or better still, use Jedi mind tricks to make him forget what he was supposed to do and let you go without any trouble. I wish such an option existed, instead of complying with his orders.

yes there is

i do not know how come it cannot be found again, i wish i had taken a screen shot to prove it and obviously there is a bug but one time i did find a sith holocron which led to a cut scene showing a sith man leaving after sunry, its in the same footlocker that you find the datapad evidence against the sith corrupting the youths.

I believe.

I believe it was that foot locker, it has been so long i also heard it might have been one of the Dark Jedi in the room on the opposite side, i can't recall, but on a list of noted recordings and such the Sith Datapad for the murder is listed, i do believe that their was something about the investigation that was supposed to let you know the Sith were monitoring her, and you find a secret monitoring device in her hotel room, and actually i believe you find the datapad next to the footlocker, in a secret compartment.

After this long any of this information could be flawed, but however it happened i damn sure REMEMBER finding this evidence, it was pretty important since it found both sides responsible, maybe it was cut out with the updates to version 1.03, i wish i knew.

But

But sadly this datapad does not appear on the kotor inventory editor, but this does not mean anything as many of the other items you collect for missions and requirements like this are not available on the inventory list either.

Globals

I have considered using the save game editor to fiddle with the globals, but i wouldn't know where to begin with altering the numbers to reach the correct states, and if that would spawn the necessary materials, but seriously this game didn't get rushed to the finish it shouldn't have such this as cut content.

Good points, Darkstar. But please hit Edit to add to your comments, instead of putting up four posts in just a few minutes. ;)
