I liked the game overall, but have some nits to pick.
The combat AI is atrocious, for starters.
The programming is horrible on the game as well - it doesn't run well on NVidia display adapters?! On the INDUSTRY STANDARD?! And lemme tell ya, it runs so badly in spots that the first couple of times I played the game, I gave up on some side-quests and XP, just so I could actually finish the &^%# game. If you've never experienced this, let me try to describe it:
The frame rate drops to something on the order of 1 frame every two seconds. And the frames don't run contiguously, your character jumps around. Or sometimes your character just turns in place while the landscape slowly twirls. I will grant that my display adapter isn't the latest and greatest... it's a pretty old Nvidia PCI (not PCI-Express) adapter that should be more than adequate for the game - in fact the game itself said it was acceptable. After turning down all the graphics settings to the absolute minimum, adding a (apparently useless) line to the .INI file for the adapter and much gritting of teeth, I managed to limp through the worst spots and enjoy the game anyway.
KotOR II is built on the same engine and has the same sad glitches.
