finding only 19 mithril tokens

in the asylum dungeon, i have gone over and over the two areas, but i can't find the last token to get me up to 20 so i can get the jesters chain. arg only 19. the only monsters i havent killed are the three clay golems in the upper right room. i snuck in with imoen (invisible) and took everything in the chest, then ran out before they could attack. the problem is that i closed the door behind me and it's magically locked so i can't pick or 'knock' it. does anyone know if there was one more token on one of the golems or is there some other one i'm missing? the problem is, of course, that i've completed the level but my last saved game is way back. sigh. please post a reply if you have any suggestions.

You did better than I did! I found 17 tokens, but was in a hurry to get the heck out of there... I settled for the boots of speed. What does the Jesters Chain do?

There are better sets than the Jester's Chain available, but for further listings check out the items list elsewhere on this site.

I cleaned it all out and found 21 tokens. Jesters Chain is a chain +4. I would go for the boots of speed. Of course if you have 20 tokens you can get a pair of boots of the North as well. There was tokens all over the place so I don't know which ones you missed.

As Zorac said there are tokens all over the place. But no tokens in the chest guarded by the golems. You propably missed one of those small urns. There is a tiny one in first room where you encounter minotaurs that many misses. You'll notice them urns when you are looking for them I hope.

I had the exact same problem the first time i went thru the game, I was only able to locate 19 tokens, but on my second run, I was able to get 21 with ease, I thought I missed something in my first run. Until I played it one more time, and only got 19 again this time. I think the game doesn't always give 20+. But that's fine with me, since the best item you can get, imo, only needs 15 tokens, Boots of Speed.

I found a neat strategy to for the three clay golem room! First make sure that your cleric has a raise dead spell. Then get your theif into the room and open the chest. Don't take the items just yet. Get your thief out of the room(like the rest of your party) except one charecter with lowest hit points.PUt all of his outside of the room first. take the sutff from the chest, and then pause immdieately. Go to the inventory page of your character and give your acquired stuuf to one of your pary members. THen unpause the game, and jsut wait for the golems to kill your character. Hten raise the charecter from the dead and everything is as good as it was before, but now you have lot's of other cool stuff.
THIS IS THE BEST WAY I FOUND IF YOU ARE TOO WEAK TO FIGHT THE GOLEMS.

thanks guys, the problem was that i was missing the little bowl right next to the door to the room where you first meet the minotaurs, just like what was said above. that gave me 21 coins, and i ended up getting the boots of speed and the boots of the north. the jesters chain, while good, killed off spells on my bard, so having my two beefy fighters hasted all the time seemed better. thanks again
