Im level eight and wish to join the Db, but I take like two hits to kill a crab. Am I ready to join and who should I kill to get in?

Any "innocent" human, i.e. anybody who counts as a murder. So sneaking up on a sleeping bandit or necromancer won't get you in. But if you want to be a pure evil assassin, why kill somebody who can defend himself? Kill a sleeping beggar. If you want to be an assassin with a sense of honor, there are some people who count as murders but aren't really "innocent". SPOILER:
Spoiler
if you do the quest for the Grey Prince before you fight him for the arena title, killing him in the arena counts as a murder, apparently because he wants to die and won't defend himself. Doesn't give you a bounty, but it will get you invited to the DB
. Also there are a number of times when it's obvious an NPC is going to turn on you, but if you kill them pre-emptively before they actually attack you it counts as a murder (and usually will get you a bounty too, if anybody is watching). SPOILER:
Spoiler
For example, Mythic Dawn agents, and members of the mages guild who have defected to the necromancers - if you kill them before they reveal themselves, it's murder
.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

Spoiler on good candidates for DB membership. Also spoiler on a couple of side quests

Highlight to read:
Spoiler
This is how I ended up getting to meet Lucius. I was working on the "collector" side quest. You can start this by selling any Ayleid statue. After you collect three of them, you are asked to collect a carving from a ruin. You are not the only one after this treasure. A rival treasure hunter will try to take it away as you leave ruins, and he has help.

You can preempt this ambush by taking out this "help" before retrieving the artifact. These are evil folks, but still count as innocents as long as you are the one who initiates the fight. I was actually surprised by my invitation to the DB after this encounter, but then I checked my stats and indeed, I had commited three murders.
