I am not sure if I happen to be looking in the wrong places, but it seems to me that there has been a silence in the (potential) mod community in the wake of NWN2's release. I know people are going to be unhappy when I compare NWN2 to Oblivion, but Oblivion wasn't even an online game. In the short time after its release it generated a much larger response from the old Morrowind community than NWN2 seems to have from NWN.
They are both different games with different flaws. I won't call either of them superior to the other, but the fact of the matter is that NWN2 lags behind in community response. Does anyone have an clue on why this might be happening?

Hm, true enough I suppose. Aside from mods such as Natural Environments or Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, most user created content (when did that expression become fashionable?) for Oblivion has been fairly small. Not much in the sense of entire continents or anything.

*nods* I did some work on the original NWN, but that was mainly tweaking weapons and equipment and implementing it into the pre-made campaigns. Putting together level design, new NPC's, etc would take a lot of work. As opposed to adding new content and porting it into the premade game with the ES series games.Tricky wrote:Hm, true enough I suppose.
