Book Collection Quest

Yes, I know this is an incredibly easy quest, but I have a problem with it. I am trying to get the Dark Wizard Hat, and he won't take the books Gamebanshee said that would get me the Dark Wizard Hat. He'll ask me for a book, I'll decline, he'll ask me about another, I'll decline, then he'll ask if he can have the book he asked me about first. Is there any way I can get rid of the other books so he only takes the ones that will get me a Dark Wizard Hat?

No. There is no way to get rid of the other books. To be safe, the next time you start this quest again, get the bad books first.

Ok, thank you. I also have another question about it. I'll put the list of the books he asks me for, and could you tell me if they would possibly get the Dark Wizard Hat?

He asks me for:
The Other Land
Jack Of Blades
The Dragons
Creatures Of Albion III
Creatures Of Albion II
The Tale Of Maxley <-- Used by Gamebanshee
A Love Story <-- Used by Gamebanshee
The Old Kingdom
The Pale Balverine <-- Used by Gamebanshee
The Arena

Do you know of any of these that could possibly be evil enough to get me a Dark Wizard Hat? Even when I do give him the ones Gamebanshee said would get me the Dark Wizard Hat, I still get the Bright Wizard Hat.

Ok this might work.

highlight that school teacher. OK?
Now go into the menu.
Umm im not really sure what you go into next but you should see a link to all the books you own (well have "borrowed")
Now click on the book you want to give to him. The go to use item.

I hope that was some help to you though i doubt it will be. Just a suggestion

That doesn't work.

It places the books under Logbook and there is no "Use" function in there.

Does anybody know if those books can get me the Dark Wizard Hat? Those are all the ones he asks me for, so, any ideas?

These books should let you get the dark wizard hat. Try not to hand over too many 'good' books with them though.

1. The Repentant Alchemist - Bowerstone South
2. The Guild of Zeros - Bowerstone South
3. You Are Not a Bad Person - Bowerstone South
4. The Sock Method - Oakvale
5. Eyes of a Killer - Bowerstone South
6. The Oakvale Raid - Oakvale
7. The Ugly Guide - Oakvale
8. Windbreaker Rule Book - Bowerstone South
9. The Tale of Twinblade - Heroes' Guild

Ok thanks. The only problem I'm experiencing though, is he always asks for the good books first.

Well, my best guess is that there's no way to get him to take the evil books first, right?

Right, you have to be careful about which books you pick up if you want to receive the dark wizard hat.

Yes, simply do not pick up any good books like those in the Guild etc. The schoolmaster does not actually ask you for a specific book, he will only do this if you have already offered him it, and then refused to give him it.
