Hi all,
I've got a problem completing the quests to get entrance into the Jaro Haven. I can complete all but the quest where you kill the fire elementals to get the components to light the braziers. I've tried everything, but can only get two of the necessary components instead of three.
I've gone back to an earlier save and still have no luck. Help!

Did you kill all three groups of fire elementals? Sometimes one group drifts off to the east rather than staying at their brazier.

thanks for the reply swcarter. Yes, I've killed off all three groups. The first group doesn't give me any goodies at all, which is what I suspect the problem is.
I've tried using an earlier save, to right after going back to the mere from the song portal, but it doesn't do any good. I'm at my wits end trying to get around this glitch.

Are you 100% certain you killed all three groups? The reason I ask is that one of the groups was not near the brazier in my game. I had to go up to the top of a hill to find them.

Pretty sure I killed all three groups, say 99.99%, but I never had one up on a hill. This isn't the same hill as the mystic is it?smass wrote:Are you 100% certain you killed all three groups? Do you know about pressing the Z key to highlight items on the ground? Each group should have three elementals, two large ones and one huge one, and it's the huge one that should drop the stuff you need. If you have a save from before fighting the elementals, then you could check very carefully where the huge elementals die. If one really isn't dropping anything, then maybe you could find somebody familiar with the toolkit who might know the command for giving you the fiery heart that you need.finnster72 wrote:thanks for the reply swcarter. There is a path next to one of the braziers that leads up a small hill - the huge elemental got stuck up there when it spawned and until I went up the hill it did not come after me.Pretty sure I killed all three groups, say 99.99%, but I never had one up on a hill. To echo swcarter - make sure you are using the "z" key to highlight all items and monsters - it really comes in handy finding stuff that may blend into the terrain.

Tried the "z" key, no joy as far as any goodies I might have missed. I'll run through it again after work tomorrow and see if I might have had the same issue you did regarding the big elemental. It sounds like that might be the case.smass wrote:There is a path next to one of the braziers that leads up a small hill - the huge elemental got stuck up there when it spawned and until I went up the hill it did not come after me.

Thanks for the help, I'll let you guys know how it works either way.
EDIT: That did the trick! The elemental was hiding on the hill. I've finished all three quests and moved on to the haven. Thanks again for the help.
