Taking for example, i have a fighter at level 9, or a cleric at level 9, and when I dual-class either one to a mage, the mage gets only 4 hp(yes, i have above 16 con) from lvl 9-10(activation of previous class).
Is this a bug or is the con bonus purposely excluded?
BTW, similarly for Jan at lvl 10/9 thief/illusionist. Becoming lvl 11 thief, he gets 2 hp, and becoming lvl 10 mage he also
gets 2 hp. Cannot really find an explanation for this.
(For all the above cases i used the normal mode to lvl up to ensure a perfect hp roll)

Bah, I can't say that i understand ur problem completely. But it sounds funny to me. U said that ur fighter or cleric duels to mage and only gets 4 hps. I can't really believe it. In my opinion, before ur later class level excesses the former class level(fighter), u shall get no hps. Until u can use the ability of the former class, u start to get hps.(mage get 1 hp per level, and cleric get 2 hps per level, that's it.)
LORD OF TERROR
Ok guess u ppl don't really get what I'm driving at.
For simplicity, lets assume a dual-classed fighter, and forget about the cleric first. I brought this fighter to level 9, and dual-classed into a mage. Char becomes lvl 9/1 fighter/mage right? There is no HP gain from lvl 9/1 to lvl 9/9 fighter/mage, but when the mage levels from 9/9 to 9/10, the mage should get the 10th hit die which grants 4hp base before adding con bonuses. The thing is that the con bonus is not included for this hit die, thus my char gets only 4 hp instead of 6 hp.

The only explenation I can think of is that the fighter and cleric get their last HD roll on level 9 whereas the mage and rogue get theirs at level 10. Since you´ve started with the fighter or cleric maybe the computer assumes you´ve reached your limit and starts just adding the fixed hp modifier. This doesn´t fit with your description of the problem however, since you get max hp minus the con bonus but it´s the only explanation I can think of. Anyone else?
