vale of ruins ...help

I have to go to the vale of ruins. How do I get there. I dont have a moonstone...I take it this is where I need it?? How do I get a moonstone?
HELP PLEASE

I used the search function and found this thread that answers the question handily. I was going to type out a long, wordy answer, but this is much more succint.

I assume that you have already completed the quest given to you by Staroxia in the Forbidden lands to speak to Grymlock to get him to give you the book of runes. You will need the book of runes to access the vale of ruin via the moonbridge. Again, this thread has details about where to find moonbeasts/moonstones.

By now I assume you got the moonstone you needed, but I wanted to point out that moonbeasts are fun. If you have an hour that you want to devote to your character getting some experience, hanging out on "Moonbeast Island" is a good way to do it....you can hang out in the water if you don't wish to get mauled and shoot at them, or venture out onto shore and melee with them. They also really hate the arcane spell "Shooting sparks" and fireballs and magic missile also work pretty well. Anyway....good luck.
