Taking Care Of Lex

n00b needs help on Thieve's Guild Quest.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS YADA YADA YADAHey all, n00b here. I completed "Taking Care of Lex" quest, everything went fine, also found funny glitch doing it. If you have done DB quest, and are now doing Taking Care of Lex on Thieve's Guild Quest, you can take the finger right out of the desk that you get the seal for the forged letter. Put the finger back into the desk and the game will keep telling you that you can go back to Ocheeva....but wait....she's kinda DEAD now that you've done the "Purification" quest for DB:laugh:  . Aaaaaanyhow, here is my question, after doing the Taking Care of Lex quest and fencing over 600 gold, how long do I wait in the Imperial city? I've been doing 24 hr waits and so forth, also just letting the game stay on. It wouldnt be so frustrating except for the fact that I'm almost certain my game is trying to make me pop a blood vessel!!!! No one has approached me for my next quest. Pleeease help, thanks.

Check your quest log to make sure you don't have any unfinished business from Taking Care of Lex. If you have the message about "I've fenced 600 gold, I should wait for a messenger in the Imperial City", then the messenger might be stuck. Try going to Methredel's house on the Waterfront.
Can the answer to this question be "No"?

Yes, Oblivion is buggy. No, the mods don't care one way or the other about posts like that. ;) Good luck in your play-through!
