Dxun Respawn XP (spoilers)

Post by taphappy »

Okay, so. Technique I figured out for you guys who've played the game a million times and want a good camp spot for big XP early on, involving the well known Dxun respawn.

When you're finished with Dxur, and go up to Mandalore to leave the planet, there's the cut scene with our favorite grey Consular doing what she does best. Then the spawn. Select two characters for your party that can handle themselves solo against Sith Assassins (I went from Dantooine, to Nar, then Onderon, no hey problema with these cats).

Kill the first guys near the hangar, then head out through the zig-zag to the main area of the compound. There are two Sith Assassin spawn points: East of Mandalore's Command Center, and South.

Beat 'em down, staying along the Eastern wall soas not to go close enough to the Command Center to get Mandalore to pop his head out and end the spawns.

In the menu, shut off auto-pause on enemy spotted.

If you're not used to this on Xbox, when you run up to a group and see the red crosshairs pop up, hit B - you'll go into combat mode, it'll try to queue, but you're moving - and it'll select the guy. If targeting strays and you're hitting A, you'll change weapon. Suck. If you don't target him, it'll start targetting Mandalorians. Not terribly practical.

1) Solo mode!
2) Stick one of your characters South of the Command Center.
3) Switch.
4) Run the other one to the spawn East.
5) Leave 'em there.

FOR CAMPING: Run your main character to the door a few meters north of the broken wire.

As long as your main character is within targeting range (occasionally nearer - you'll know if they're getting hit with 0 health, and not dying yet) of the Assassins getting whomped, you'll get the XP.

FOR MASS XP: You can run back and forth between the two points and fight. Your NPCs will be knocking down their health a little, it'll help. Occasionally, you have to heal them (dunno if PC fixed that, but on Xbox, my NPCs don't heal themselves. Even with Master Heal, 28 awareness and 29 treat injury...um).

Also on xbox, if using Handmaiden, you gotta occasionally attack her target to make her wake up. Throw lightsaber works groovy for this. Visas does not have this issue.

If a party member dies, get out of solo mode, clear their spawn, they'll get up. Heal them, and go back through the steps.

If camping, XP's way quicker if you jump back and forth to the characters to activate speed (only) if they have it. But I'd suggest to run back and forth to heal 'em, and get scrappy.

But if you're truly feeling lazy, you can read a book, watch TV if you have an extra one around (or near your computer), munch some Easy Mac, learn how to juggle, and occasionally look up to check their health.

Sith were 275XP per when I started, now bumped up to 300XP (around level 27), and they respawn like little wabbits. Much better than those accursed Wraids. ugh. Heh.

Anyhoo, hope that helps somebody :)
