Wish in the throne of bhaal area

Post by MasterDarkNinja »

I've been soloing with a sorceror lately, I've found the wish spell very handy because of it's ability to recast spells again as if I just rested, especially with my wisdom of 20.

Well today I finally got to chapter 10, the throne of bhaal area. I don't know if it's REALLY bad luck I've been having or what, but I've tried casting wish 15 times in there, and I STILL haven't gotten the option to be able to recast all of my spells again. I've gotten like every single other option the wish spell lets you cast several times already. So am I not allowed to be able to recast all of my spells again in the throne of Bhaal or am I just really unlucky?
Remember, being Evil in Baldur's Gate 2 is VERY fun...

That was just a string of bad luck.

Is it? Some wish options will appear only when the wisher has a certain Wisdom level. I don't know if this particular wish is one of them.

Well, at least I understood it so that MasterDarkNinja was able to get that option before, but not after getting to chapter 10...

So, I would say it's bad luck, since at least I haven't heard or noticed that there would have been any changes in that apsect...

You're right, but Kipi stated that his char had WIS 20, that should be sufficient to get the best options with Wish.

Yes, you're right; but what a run of apparent bad luck you've had!

why bother with wish ??

- cast spell trap (-9 spell levels)
- fill your quickslots with 3 power word kills
- cast projected image
- cast 3x power word kill on yourself (+27 spells gained)
------------------------------------------------------

Net: -9 + 27 = 18 spell levels gained rinse and repeat as needed

Have the PI cast anything that will kill it to free your char.

Seeing as how you solo'ed a sorc you this and other types of cheese are probably acceptable to you anyway. Unless you were relying on SoM for the spell trap your set to go.
