Ust Natha egg quest

Post by mikebaz1 »

I have just received the quest from Phaere to replace the silver dragon eggs with fake eggs, I have tried stealth, frontal assult and charming, but can't seem to get the eggs without having everyone attack me. Any suggestions?

Try moving your entire party up next to the two guards so that no other drow is in sight. Then try attacking them and go inside to get the eggs. This worked for me, I think that this problem was corrected in the latest patch.

Back stab them, preferably with two characters for quick work (I used one thief and one stalker).

That was the only situation I used back stab in the game... ;)

Get a cleric to cast Sanctuary, and just go in and get them. :)

or use a thief with a potion of invisibility. u won't be able to get away without someone turning red, u just have to make sure they can't see u to attack u.

There's a bug that even if you sneak in, grab the eggs and get out without being seen, people turn red. Kill them and the city can go red.

Kev's patch over at Baldurdash addresses this issue I believe.

Is this a random bug or something? I've never come across it before, I attack the egg guards but no one else becomes hostile.

For once, I actually think I know how to solve this. I had no problem with my character walking in, killing all the Golems, and then taking the eggs.

The guards aggro immediately when you walk out. Kill them. Try to do it from the door so the Matron Guards and 'em don't see you.

Don't go invisibly though! That's the problem! When you do open the doors invisibly, the guards not only aggro but if you don't kill them fast enough, they will shout that unseen thieves or something are taking the eggs.

In other words, be cruel and whack 'em just before you go in, then kill the Golems and you'll be fine. :D

My party sneaked invisible (protagonist and Imoen) without problems. The guards are to be killed, though, as soon as you open the door they become red and try to attack. They were shouting, too, but nobody paid attention to.
