Is it too late?

Okay, I wanna get the computer version to mess around with the construction set and mods. Is it too late to be doing that, since i don't have a computer that could run Oblivion?

Why would it be too late? From the reviews I've read about Oblivion, it sounds like Morrowind is the better game My PC won't play Oblivion right now either and I'm sure there are many other people that still play it and are always looking for new mods etc.

If you can't find the game in shops, have a look on ebay, thats where I got mine, and both expansions.

I just bought my copy of GOTY version about a month ago, new at an outlet store...then started using the mods....
No not too late....I tend to wait on new games till after the release date and most of the patches come out anyways.....
Tend to run into less problems that way.

Exactly! When you wait, most of the necessary patches have been released, and the price has come down. If you wait long enough, you often get games bundled with all of their expansion packs too. That is how I bought the GOTY edition, what a deal!
I still haven't finished everything there is to do, though that is also because of frequent re-installs and the compulsive need to start new characters.



Back to topic, no it isn't too late at all. The MW modding community is still quite active, and new mods are still being released. Like Mr.Sir, I don't have the computer to run Oblivion, and everything I have heard suggests that Morrowind is the superior game.

First, thanks for the answers. Second, I have also heard that almost everything in MW is superior to Oblivion. The only exceptions are battling system and, of course, graphics. That really makes me upbeat, cause I've heard that MW is the best to figure out how to mod stuff. Now I just haveta get my parents to loan me like 20 bucks to get the game until i get a job (GOTY is always at wal-mart ).

It is truly worth it. Be sure to check out our sticky thread containing mod recommendations to see some good modding sites. We can recommend others. And if you want suggestions for modding, we're willing to help with that, too.

Please go get Morrowind GOTY!

Like Dragon Wench, I also bought GOTY recently and haven't stopped playing Morrowind since.

Now, I have concurrent Oblivion and Morrowind games going on. And my 1 year old HP Pavilion dv9000 notebook is not exactly state-of-the-art for gaming. That hasn't stopped me from playing both.

Fable is too modest to say it, so I will say it for him.

A warning. Don't expect modding to be a walk in the park. If you know nothing about computers when you first open the CS it will seem an impossible task. Mess about with it and you'll soon get the hang of it. If you have any problems PM me.

Oh, well i wasn't expecting modding to be a walk in the park. That's why i wanna try it. It sounds challenging, and wanting to be a future programmer myself, it'll be fun. But it'll be a couple months b4 i get the game anyways...
